Tango Management Consulting announces Shaofei Chen as Senior Geospatial Research Analyst
Irving, TX – Tango Analytics has announced today that Shaofei Chen has joined the practice as Senior Geospatial Research Analyst. Chen, who is currently completing his Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Dallas, has a Master’s degree in GIS, and is well versed in Spatial Optimization, Spatial Statistics and Remote Sensing.
Mr. Chen expects to complete his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Michael Tiefelsdorf at the University of Texas at Dallasin the summer of 2011. His dissertation is on Spatial Optimal Sampling to reduce sampling error in geospatial data and analysis. Mr. Chen has presented at ESRI’s international user conference, the Association of American Geographers (AAG) annual conference, as well as the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) annual conference. In addition, his research has been published in Transaction in GIS and IEEE Conference Proceeding as well as several leading Chinese journals on GIS and remote sensing.
